Photography fell into my lap. I was digging through the closets of my childhood home during what 6th grade me considered the most boring summer ever and my mom’s 35mm Minolta came tumbling out. My high school years were spent deep in the darkroom with the other photo nerds where a beloved teacher showed me that my passion could be a career. I packed up two suitcases, said “see ya!” to my hometown of Houston, TX and moved to Philly to get my degree in Photography at Drexel.
Over 10 years later my two suitcases have evolved into a houseful of stuff, two cats, and a really awesome fiance. After watching the Eagles win the superbowl, the birth of Gritty, and receiving an amount of parking tickets I won’t willingly admit to, I now consider myself to be a Houstadelphian. Go Birds, yee haw!
I’m a big hiker, and some of my proudest days have been when I’ve conquered a particularly challenging trail. Mt. Washington in New Hampshire, Wheeler Geological Area in Southern Colorado, KoKo Head in Hawaii, and the Grand Canyon have been my favorites to date. When I’m not outside you can find me hanging out with my fiance and our two cats, binge watching 90 Day Fiance, and trying to find a local cheese that is too stinky for me.
