Kate & Chris had to postpone their big blow out until next year, but decided to get hitched Quaker-style on their original wedding date at their home. Close family, friends, and pets joined them for hoagies and witnessing the signing of their marriage license in their lovely backyard. After filling up on cake, everyone headed over to Penn Treaty Park where Kate & Chris were joined by more friends for the entertainment. PME Entertainment aka Philly Elmo (@whourockinwit) showed up and got the whole park moving. These guys have some seriously infectious positive energy. After this weekend, I can’t wait to celebrate and document the big party next year!
Intimate, at home ceremonies are my favorite to photograph because as time goes on they transform in to a portrait of who and where you were as a couple. You’ll look back on your wedding photos 50 years from now and be reminded of the stair that used to creak, the pets you love, the view out the back window, or the time your crazy neighbor locked themselves out and broke their own window trying to get back in (Just me? K.).
Kate & Chris, thank y’all for having me photograph this beautiful day!
